Building green is the preference for those who want an energy efficient structure that incorporates environmental and sustainability features.

Henson Contractors, Inc. is a registered certified agent for the Florida Green Building Coalition (FGBC).  HCI can help our clients achieve the level of green certification that they desire, ranging from Bronze to Platinum levels.  To be considered green certified, a structure must be built with at least minimum criteria in eight categories.

An Energy Star qualified home is another option.  Energy star is a joint program between the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy.  This program applies to new construction and to the remodeling of existing homes.  Its goal is to protect the environment and to help people save money.
